Fabric Care

Because every Neeli piece is crafted to last.

At Neeli, our fabrics are thoughtfully chosen and carefully crafted to celebrate Indian tradition, comfort, and everyday elegance. Proper care helps preserve the beauty, colour, and life of your garments. Here’s how you can keep your Neeli pieces looking fresh for years to come.

1. Cotton & Cotton Blends

Breathable, soft, and perfect for daily wear.

Washing

Hand wash separately in cold water for the first few washes

Use mild detergent only

Avoid soaking for long hours

Drying

Dry in shade to prevent colour fading

Avoid direct sunlight for dark or deep colours

Ironing

Iron on medium heat

Prefer ironing while slightly damp for best results

2. Dyed & Printed Fabrics

Hand-dyed and printed fabrics may release colour initially — this is natural and part of their charm.

Washing

Wash separately, especially for the first few washes

Cold water wash only

Do not use bleach or harsh detergents

Care Tip

A little colour bleeding initially is normal and not a defect

3. Delicate & Premium Fabrics

(Handloom, soft weaves, special finishes)

Washing

Gentle hand wash recommended

Do not wring or twist

Avoid machine wash unless mentioned on the label

Drying

Lay flat or hang in shade

Avoid tumble drying

4. Storing Your Garments

Store in a cool, dry place

Fold neatly; avoid hanging heavy garments for long periods

Use breathable cotton covers instead of plastic

Keep away from moisture to prevent mildew

5. What to Avoid

Bleach or strong chemicals

Hot water washing

Direct sunlight drying for extended periods

Rough brushing or scrubbing

A Gentle Reminder

Natural fabrics, hand processes, and traditional dyeing techniques may result in slight variations in colour and texture. These are not imperfections — they are what make each Neeli piece unique.
